Pediegg

Pediegg

I recently started Tae Kwon Do and have started being very self conscious of my feet. So I have Tae Kwon Do to thank for being obsessed with getting super soft feet.

I finally gathered up the courage to purchase and use the Pediegg and am pretty happy with it. I was a little scared to use what resembled a cheese grater on my feet. I open the package and examined the torture device and found that it wasn’t sharp so that eased my mind a bit. I have used the device for and week and while I noticed a difference right a way, it took a few uses before I noticed a big difference. It also comes with a file to smooth your feet after using cheese grater and it does help smooth them out. I have read reviews that recommend using a pumice stone instead and I plan on trying that out too. Sure my feet aren’t as soft as I like yet, although I probably have unrealistic expectations (I want feet that are soft and smooth as a baby’s butt). I am pleased with the results I am getting and do not regret the purchase.

Dr. Scholl’s Foot Butter

Foot Butter
I have been using this foot butter after I use my Pediegg and I really like how smooth my feet feel. After I put the foot butter on I put socks on to keep the moisture in, I have no idea if it actually does but that’s what I keep telling myself. It also, has a really nice fragrance without being overwhelming. I would purchase this again but I also want to try out a few other products so I have something to compare it to.

Jones Soda Company Green Apple Candy

My husband saw Jones Soda Company Green Apple candy when he was at the store and knowing that I love anything Green Apple flavored he picked it up for me.  It is carbonated and boasts that it has “Tongue Tingling Flavor Boosters”. I suck on candies and I could feel a little bit of tingling while I sucked on the delicious candy. After I had a few pieces I chewed on one by accident and it got all foamy which was kinda weird and kinda awesome. Now I face the dilemma of chewing or sucking, if I chew them I can see myself going through the entire can in one sitting.

Another thing I like about this candy (all Jone products actually) is it’s made with sugar and not high fructose corn syrup. I have started paying attention to the ingredients on the food that I buy in an attempt to significantly reduce the the amount of fructose corn syrup I ingest.

Toilet Cleaning Gel Continued…

After a week I had basicly gone through 2 of the gel tabs so instead of 6 weeks of cleaning power I’m down to 3 weeks. I would still be ok with it if it prevented me from having to scrub the toilet but it doesn’t. I’m not sure how it is supposed to clean the whole bowel since the water runs over it  and goes directly to the bottom of the toilet. In addition, the smell is a little overwhelming but I am very sensitive to smells so this probably won’t bother most people. I will finish the pack because, hey I paid for it and it can’t make the toilet worse but I won’t be buying this again.

Toilet Cleaning Gel

I bought this today when I saw it at Target. The dispenser puts a gel blob on the side of your toilet and it’s supposed last a week, clean every time you flush. It comes with 6 gel tabs to last for a month and half. I like that I will be able to see when it runs out although, I’m not sure I would use this in a toilet if I was expecting company as it is a little weird to have a green blob on the side of the toilet. So far it’s sticking to the toilet pretty well and I will update at the end of the week when the 1st disc is gone with the final review.

Theraflu Warming Relief

http://www.theraflu.com/content.shtml?products

If you are sensing a theme, yes I am sick. I have a chest cold of some sort. Other than migraines, allergies and sometimes my stomach not dealing well with something I ate; I rarely ever get sick for real and even this time I don’t have a fever. So I’m no expert on medications so I can’t compare this to anything else.

To start off, I would like to say I should not be allowed to shop by myself when I am sick or in pain because I will buy anything and everything that I *think* will make me feel better. So it’s usually an expensive trip. I am also a SUCKA for stuff like WARMING RELIEF! Ooooo that sounds nice, I want that! Plus, it offered decongestant and expectorant in the same medication.

So how did it work?

WARMING RELIEF? what warming relief are you just teasing me?

It did help my cough and congestion but I think if I had not been distracted by the WARMING RELIEF and was feeling well enough to look at a few labels I may have been able to find something else that was just as good but cheaper.

One thing I tend to be lazy about these days is getting the medication that they now keep behind the pharmacy counter. I believe those are mostly decongestants and my biggest problem was my cough.

I have one dose left and if I still feel I need more cold medicine tomorrow I will take the time to look around to see if there is a better option.

Bottom line: Medicine works fine but don’t buy it for WARMING RELIEF because that is utter BS

Mucinex Nasal Spray

A couple of years a go I caught a chest cold that would NOT let up and after a month or so I caved and bought some Mucinex (those green booger guys creeped me out) and I could not believe how well the Mucinex worked!

So when I happen to see Mucinex Nasal Spray, I was ready to lay down some cash no questions asked. But I am trying to be a smart smart shopper and I flipped over the box to look at the active ingredients on the Mucinex as well as the Afrin I normally buy. From what I can tell they are EXACTLY the same even though the prices are not, the Mucinex cost 2X as much as the the Afrin. So being the smart shopper I am what do I do? I buy the Mucinex because it must work better by MAGIC! I said I was trying to be a better shopper, I’m obviously not there yet.

The bottom line is it doesn’t work better by magic. The product works great however, there are much cheaper alternatives that work just as good. I use Afrin but I’m sure you can get an even cheaper version by buying a store brand. The important thing to check is the actitive ingredients. Are they the same ingredients and amounts?

The Litter Robot

http://www.litter-robot.com/

I love my cats but like most people hate dealing with the litter box. I figured I would make my first review for a product that I have been trying to inform all my cat owning friends about.  Although the response I get from everyone I tell is “You spent HOW much on a litter box?”

I had been looking at the Litter Robot for 3 years and was so impressed with the reviews it got. But the price tag always made me sad…I couldn’t justify spending that much on a new litter box when our Littermaid wasn’t that old (even though it was a piece of junk). Fast forward to now, the Littermaid died. So I did a lot of research trying to find a litter box that everyone loved that didn’t cost $300. Yea that didn’t happen. I just could not ignore all the praise that everyone was giving it. So armed with the reviews I approached my husband with it.

When he saw what I was suggesting he didn’t say anything but gave me a look that said WOMEN, have you LOST your MIND! But he humored me and looked over the reviews and web site. He said it’s better litter box because it’s better designed than the other automatic boxes, then explained why (he’s an engineer). Then he said it would probably be a good investment and he told me to go ahead and order it.

SQUEEE!!!

And all the praises? It’s not all hype, that box is as good as the reviews say. Works great, less smell and it does use less litter plus you don’t need special containers for the waste. I know it’s hard to justify the price but believe me, it is sooo worth it! And I’m kicking myself for not buying it earlier!

BUY

Upcoming reviews

HeadOn

I will be doing a review on T-Mobile G1 after Thanksgiving hopefully. That's when our current contract is over and we can switch (hopefully the phones are not sold out).
